Thursday, May 14, 2009 Hello one five, let’s go for star gazing @ science centre as a class outing! :D Star Gazing @ Science Centre Hi Victorians! International Year of Astronomy has come! (IYA2009) 400 years ago, Galileo made the first astronomical observation through a telescope. It is also the anniversary of many milestones in the history of astronomy, including the publishing of Kepler’s Astronomia Nova, human’s landing on the Moon, etc. As part of this great global celebration, Singapore Science Centre is organizing various events for the public, such as the weekly Star Gazing Session at their Observatory. In order to give insights into astronomy to Victorians, VJC Astrophysics Society is organizing a trip to Singapore Science Centre to join their weekly Star Gazing Session on 22nd May (Fri) 2009 from 7:50pm to 10:00pm. One Way transport would be provided.
